Deep Cleaning Sydney

What is deep cleaning?

Deep cleaning is a comprehensive, one-off clean that addresses accumulated build-up a routine clean never reaches — inside appliances, behind and under furniture, grout, exhaust fans, skirting boards, light fittings, window tracks and cupboard interiors. It typically takes three to five times longer than a standard clean and is measured against a reset of the whole property, not weekly maintenance.

When You Need a Deep Clean

Deep cleaning isn’t a bigger version of a regular clean. It’s a different job with a different purpose: taking a property back to baseline so that routine cleaning can actually keep it there.

The situations we get called for most:

Spring Cleaning in Sydney

Spring cleaning is a deep clean scheduled seasonally rather than triggered by an event — traditionally as the weather warms and windows finally get opened. In Sydney that’s September through November, and it’s our busiest period for this service.

There’s a practical reason it matters here specifically. Sydney’s humid summers and coastal air create conditions for mould in bathrooms, laundries and south-facing rooms, and salt and grime accumulation on windows and external surfaces in coastal suburbs. Clearing that before summer is genuinely preventative rather than cosmetic. Book September or October if you want a preferred date.

Frequently Asked Questions

A one-bedroom apartment takes 4–5 hours; a three-bedroom home 6–9 hours; a large four or five-bedroom house can take a full day or a two-person team. Heavy build-up, mould and cluttered properties add time.

Scope and reach. A regular clean maintains visible surfaces. A deep clean addresses what accumulates behind, under and inside things — appliance interiors, grout, exhaust fans, skirting boards, cupboard interiors, window tracks and light fittings. It takes three to five times longer.

No. We can work from a key, lockbox or building access code, and we’ll send a photo record on completion.

It helps a great deal, and it lowers your cost, because we clean rather than tidy. If you’d like us to handle organising as well, tell us at booking so we can allow the time.

We treat surface mould on tiles, grout, silicone and painted surfaces as part of a deep clean. Mould inside walls, in ceiling cavities or caused by an ongoing leak or ventilation failure is a building problem, not a cleaning one — we’ll tell you if that’s what you have. In a rental, that’s generally the landlord’s responsibility to rectify.

It’s the highest-return cosmetic spend available to a vendor. A deep clean plus pressure washing costs a fraction of styling and directly improves listing photography, which is what most buyers see first.

Once or twice a year for most Sydney homes. More often if you have pets, if anyone in the household has allergies or asthma, or if the property is coastal and takes salt air.
